Are we there yet!?
As the countdown timer on the Hyperflite website slowly winds down, most of our dogs don’t need much of a reminder that the World’s are just around the corner. The fanatics among us have suddenly gone from one practice session every other day to morning and evening sessions every day…and three or more sessions on each weekend day, rain or shine.
There’s a hint of coolness in the morning air…or at least there was before all this global warming stuff. The kids are back in school. The airlines will soon end their summer pet travel restrictions. Ah yes. It’s almost time to hose out our portable kennels, load up the rambler and begin the long migration south or east, or west, or north…depending upon where you hail from. At this year’s Hyperflite Skyhoundz World Championship – the greatest celebration of canine athleticism on planet earth – dogs will most definitely rule.
Whether your journey to Atlanta is for competitive or spectative purposes, this year’s World’s will be an event you will never forget. With top dogs from the U.S., Canada and Europe on hand to show off their stuff, the 2006 World Championship is sure to be the most spectacular display of canine athleticism you will ever witness.
If you haven’t already qualified, you’re still in luck. The last-chance Open Qualifier takes place on Friday, September 22, 2006, at Flying Dog Farm. Last year’s Open Qualifier was an action-packed canine extravaganza that was nearly as exciting as the Worlds! Many attendees remarked that it was the most fun they had ever had at a canine disc event. This year will be no exception. We promise.
OK, enough web surfing. Fido is wondering why you aren’t tweaking your routine and working on those Distance/Accuracy tosses. The clock is ticking…see you in Atlanta!
